Well Bobby and Al have planned another wee trip for 2017.
This year we will be cycling about 220 miles on a door to door challenge.
We have planned the route. (On right of web page πππππππππππ)
Bobby has picked the camp sites (thanks UKcampsite.co.uk) and all have been booked.
This year we will be raising money for Dementia UK so zoom π¨over to the JustGiving page and give give give π
Over the years we have expanded our cooking skills on our trusty trangia stoves

Can you believe we make pizzas on the stoves :0) |
180!!! |
but we have also learned that a good hostelry near the campsite is also a good "backup" plan π. Just for the Orange juice or course π
Both Bobby and I have been in training for the last few months (well Bobby never stops cycling to and from work).
I have done my Favorited training route down to the forth Bridges where I have watched the construction of the new road bridge. Its nearly finished

We also shared a really nice training session last month down in Lancashire.
We saw a beautiful new house being built
And also cycled a bit of the route we will do on Day one of the Door 2 Door.
This year I have bought a Garmin Touring GPS for my bike. This is the same as Bobbies.
Now when ever we go out on a training ride we can upload the results to Strava and see how each of us is doing. Have to say Bobby is doing better than me.
SO with the routes planned (on Strava ) and loaded on to the Garmins we are ready for the adventure.
Oh I forget to add. My son Alex is also joining us on this trip. Like last year he has elected to do with out the bike and opted for a car. So we will have a support vehicle with us again. This dose not mean we will be taking any wee lifts. We will cycle the whole route π
Well thanks for looking in on us again.
We will update the blog as we travel so check back after the 10th June 2017 and wee how we are doing
AL and Bobby
